From time to time, our customers visit the storage facility to either reorganize or clean up the storage unit, and find their unit filled with unloved or even unworn clothes. Instead of keeping them, maybe it is a better idea to give them a second chance by donating them? Hongkong Storage has launched a recycling program that can help you to do a little kindness easily.
From July, the new Shatin FlagshipStore has collaborated with The Salvation Army to offer the clothing recycling service to make a little difference to the community and our planet. Clothes will be sorted, distributed and sold in The Salvation Army Family Store. The net proceeds will go to The Salvation Army for use across its invaluable community programs. Some of the donated goods will be directly helping people in need, such as home alone elderly, street sleepers, ex-prisoners, and CSSA recipients.
To participate, you can simply pass the clothes* to our staff in Shatin FlagshipStore, and we would do the rest. Kindly note, the recycling programme is not just for customers in ShatinFlagship store; we welcome all of our customers from other branches to participate as well. Every three months, we send all the collected clothes to Salvation Army directly.
Good deeds are seeds of generosity; act today, and let’s pass the kindness forward.
*Please note that due to hygienic reasons, stuffed toys, underwear, towels, bedding, and swimwear will not be accepted.
