As one of the founding members of the Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA), Hongkong Storage is proud to have our Managing Director Mr. Alexander Chung represent the company at the Self Storage Expo Asia 2025, held in Tokyo from 20 to 22 May 2025.
The three-day event took place at The Grand Hall in Shinagawa, Tokyo, bringing together self storage association leaders and professionals from across Europe, China, Australia, and Japan for in-depth discussions and collaboration.
Focus on Asia: Insights from Across the Region
During the expo, our team had the opportunity to visit several of Japan’s top-tier self storage facilities and gain first-hand insights into how technology and space optimisation are being used to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The on-site tours sparked meaningful exchange among industry representatives from different regions, opening doors for future cross-border partnerships.
Mr. Alexander Chung commented, “While Hong Kong is a unique market, many of our standardised operations and smart technologies can be adopted by other Asian markets. At the same time, there’s much we can learn from their innovations.”
As a founding member of SSAA, we also participated in the Annual General Meeting, joining peers across Asia to discuss the future direction of the industry, regulatory frameworks, and regional collaboration. This further strengthens Hongkong Storage’s position and network within the Asia-Pacific self storage community.
